The 5Star Coaching Staff
Beth Chappelear has been coaching the HHS 5Stars since the team began in 2008. A lifelong dancer, she was a company member of the Civic Ballet of Chattanooga and danced at Kennesaw State University before returning back home to teach dance locally while she finished college. She earned three degrees in education (B.S., M.S., & Ed.S.) from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has been teaching middle school since 2000 and currently teaches STEM at Heritage Middle School. She is married to Josh and they have two Generals: Cooper and Colson.
Hannah Alexander graduated from Ringgold High School in 2009. Hannah began dancing at the age of 3 in studio ballet, tap, and jazz. She competed with the Ringgold Tigerettes in middle school and the Massari-Wood All-Star dance team in high school. She coached the HMS 5Stars for the 2008-2009 season. Hannah attended the University of Tennessee for a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology and East Tennessee State University for a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Hannah works as a registered nurse in the Cardiovascular ICU unit at Erlanger in Chattanooga.
Ellie Morgan is a former HHS 5Star (class of 2013). She attended Dalton State for a B.S. in Education and received her M.S. from Jacksonville State University. Ellie currently teaches 1st grade at Battlefield Primary and will be getting married to her fiancee, Tad, on August 22.
